Google CEO sees a small acquisition every month

Google Inc expects to buy one small company a month as it rekindles its acquisition engine and moves beyond the worst phase of the global recession , Chief Executive Eric Schmidt said in an interview on wednesday.
The Web search giant has historically maintained a steady pace of acquiring small , privately held companies .

Kanpur universities scientists employ insects to fight carrot grass hazard

KANPUR: In a bio-control measure , scientists of the Chandra Shekhar Azad(CSA) University released thousands of insects on Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College(GSVMM) premises on Wednesday.
These insects are expected to prey on the hazardous plant, carrot grass(parthenium), that causes allergic diseases, including asthma.

Indian power sector needs huge capacity addition accros the value chain:

  • Energy efficienc y/ Conservation Savings of about 15%.
  • Quality and reliable power supply at affordable tarrifs.

Nikon introduces new SLR cameras

NEW DELHI: Nikon India on Wednesday launched two new digital SLR (single lens reflex) cameras and said it would open more exclusive stores to increase its presence in the Indian market. While D3000 camera has been priced at Rs.3o,450(body only) and Rs.37,950(entire kit)
the cost of D300s has been fixed at around Rs.1.10 lakh.

Moonquake
